Pruitt Pulls Out Of GOP Dinner

(AP) New Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt has pulled out of a Republican fundraiser after a Democratic U.S. senator raise ethics concerns. Pruitt is the former Oklahoma Attorney General.

A spokesman says Pruitt will not be attending next week's Oklahoma Republican Party gala dinner in Moore, where Pruitt was scheduled to be the keynote speaker. Democratic U.S. Senator Shelton Whitehouse of Rhode Island filed an ethics complaint against Pruitt on Tuesday, alleging that Pruitt's participation in the GOP fundraiser would violate the Hatch Act.
