Oklahoma City Councilman John Pettis surrendered Tuesday at the Oklahoma County jail on charges of embezzlement and tax fraud. He was released on $10,000 bond. He is currently running for Oklahoma County Commissioner. It's alleged Pettis embezzled more than $160,000 in donations sent to charities under his control and that he never filed a state tax return. His attorney says he will plead not guilty. There are reports that Pettis plans to resign. (photo courtesy KFOR)
