  • F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "there are no second acts in life."  Which isn't exactly true in the case of Eggman.

Once half of one of the most notorious morning teams in Oklahoma City radio, the Eggman returns to Oklahoma City some sixteen years after he left it.  Which is a good thing, because his car was running.

Teaming up in 1990 with Mark Shannon, and given his nickname one morning after the airing of "I Am The Walrus" by the Beatles, Egg has traveled the country in one radio post or another, including a successful morning run in Charlotte, North Carolina and creating radio commercials in Denver, Colorado.

Through it all, he and Shannon remained in contact, and as Mark's battle with leukemia drew to a close, Shannon and his wife asked Egg to speak and sing at Mark's funeral service.  A short time later, KTOK management reached out to Egg about taking the reins of Mark's old time slot.

"The show is more about punch lines than party lines," says  Eggman.  "We will be topical, of course...we will talk about local issues that affect Oklahoma City residents...but we're going to also have a lot of fun."  Egg's signature comedic bits and parody songs are mainstays of The Eggman show.

The show is also a mouthpiece of sorts for animal awareness; there are at any given moment hundreds if not thousands of dogs and cats in shelters who need new homes.  Four Footed Fridays highlights some of these shelters on a weekly basis.

Take a break from political rhetoric and tune in to The Eggman Show every weekday from four 'til seven.
