Oklahoma is one of three states whose Supreme Court Justices are appointed by the Governor, then must have the public vote to retain them in the next available state election, and again every six years after that. Here is a list of the Justices up for retention on the ballot November 6, and some of their recent decisions.

Yvonne Kauger-District 4-Appointed by George Night-favored intangible property is taxable and voted against Personhood coming up for a vote.

Douglas Combes-District 8-Appointed by Brad Henry-favored intangible property is taxable, and voted against Personhood coming up for a vote.

Noma Gurich-District 3-Appointed by Brad Henry-voted against Personhoodcoming up for a vote.
