An early morning carjacking on the northwest side of Oklahoma City ended after a short vehicle pursuit with OKC Police arresting a metro area teen.

It happened right around 1 a.m. near NW 39th Street and Penn Avenue.

OKC Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow tells NewsRadio 1000 KTOK that the victim told officers the suspect approached him with a gun and took his car.

Shortly thereafter, an officer spotted the vehicle and the suspect near an apartment complex in the 1700 block of NW 46th Street.

Sgt. Wardlow says a short vehicle pursuit ensued, with 17-year-old Cody Arbaugh eventually being arrested in the 1900 block of NW 41st Street.

Sgt. Wardlow says Arbaugh now faces numerous charges in connection with the carjacking.
