Oklahoma City Police reporting now that an OKC woman has become the city's 76th homicide victim of the year.

OKC Police MSgt. Gary Knight tells NewsRadio 1000 KTOK that 52-year-old Frances Ruth Madison died at a local hospital after being shot multiple times.

It happened right before 9 p.m. in the 3200 block of NE 15th Street.

MSgt. Knight says Madison was apparently standing outside when a car pulled up and someone began shooting.  When officers arrived, they found Madison shot multiple times.

Madison was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

MSgt. Knight says investigators are checking leads and interviewing as many possible witnesses as they can.
