While wagers between the governors of Oklahoma and Texas are often made prior to the Red River Rivalry football game between O.U. and Texas, Governor Mary Fallin says Texas Governor Rick Perry's not wagering this year.
"Governor Perry and I are great friends. He's actually not going to the ball game, because he said he didn't go to that university," Fallin said. "Of course, I went to Oklahoma State, too, but I'm going to the ball game."
Fallin's office says while no bet was made, the two states will continue with the annual Governor's Cup rivalry.
The cup has been exchanged between the governors of Oklahoma and Texas, since 1973.
