Beginning November 5, a major bridge on the Kilpatrick Turnpike will close for an extended period of time due to the ongoing turnpike widening project. The Lake Hefner fly-over bridge will close to traffic. The bridge carries approximately 8,500 motorists daily from westbound Kilpatrick Turnpike to southbound Lake Hefner Parkway. Drivers will be able to access southbound Lake Hefner Parkway using the Portland Avenue exit.
