A permit for pre-game festivities in Thunder Alley is approved by the Oklahoma City Council, but City Manager Jim Couch says don't expect watch parties.

"The activities in the alley itself are up to the team itself. It's my understanding they are not proposing to show the games, during the games," Couch told the council.

The Thunder management ended big screen television watch parties, after eight people were injured in a Bricktown shooting incident during the NBA playoffs, back in May.

The permit approved Tuesday involved noise ordinance issues, and allows the Thunder to hold pre-game carnivals in Thunder Alley during the regular season.
