A violent, overturning-type of single-vehicle accident led to one man being killed and a portion of the Hefner Parkway being closed to traffic early today.

It happened right after midnight along Hefner Parkway near NW 63rd Street when a pickup truck apparently overturned numerous times, ejecting the driver from the truck.

Oklahoma City Police officers on the scene told our broadcast partners at NewsChannel 4 KFOR that witnesses indicated that the truck may have been traveling at around 90 miles an hour before overturning, but that they are not certain if alcohol played a role in the wreck.

No word yet on the identity of the victim.

Hefner Parkway was reopened to traffic shortly after 3 a.m.
