State Superintendent Janet Barresi released the following statement regarding a new report critical of the Education Department's A to F grading system for public schools: 

"We are always willing to listen to input on improvements to the existing system, as long as it continues to provide clear information on how children are progressing.  Due to the fact that I and my colleagues were not briefed prior to the release of the report, we will need to have the opportunity to dive deep into the complex report before we can respond."
