The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission says Oklahoma's unemployment rate improved to 5.1 percent in December 2012, down by 0.1 percentage points from November. The state's economy lost 2,000 jobs, mostly in Professional and Business Services, but added 2,500 jobs in Leisure and Hospitality. A year ago, the state's jobless rate was 6.3 percent.
