Republican Representative Dan Kirby of Tulsa is asking gun manufacturer Remington to consider leaving New York state, and setting-up shop here in the Sooner state.
Kirby said Oklahoma offers a lot of incentives, such as the Quality Jobs Act.
"A five-year property tax exemption for manufacturers is another thing to entice manufacturing," Kirby told KTOK.
Kirby said he got the idea after hearing reports of an assault rifle ban in New York state.
Kirby's sent a letter to Remington, asking the company to consider a gun factory here in Oklahoma.
