Officials are still trying to determine the cause of a late afternoon fire on Sunday that dragged into the overnight hours at a machine shop on the metro's northwest side.
Our broadcast partners at NewsChannel 4 KFOR reporting that Oklahoma City firefighters believe the fire began in the attic of the business in the 3900 block of NW 10th Street.
Fire officials on the scene said firefighters had to take a defensive stance fighting the flames..as they entered the building initially, but heavy smoke and flames pushed them back and they fought it from the outside and above.
The heavy smoke could be seen for miles.
No one was injured in the blaze and officials are still working to determine the cause.
