It's what Cimarron Alliance Director Scott Hamilton said about the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that same-sex couples are entitled to federal benefits, and also its refusal to rule on California's ban on gay marriage.
"We've already seen now that states are paying attention to one another. The fact that (gay) marriage is now legal again in California, I really think people in Oklahoma are going to say: 'wait a minute, this is my home.'
"Coming right before Independence Day, it's a time not just to celebrate, but to keep moving forward," Hamilton told KTOK.
Hamilton also said he expects a number of legal challenges to Oklahoma's law, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman.
