You can ride Oklahoma City's MetroTransit buses for free on Friday, July 19th.
MetroTransit spokesman Michael Scroggins said it's about encouraging people to ride city buses during ozone alert season.
"Free on our entire system, which includes our commuter service from Norman to Oklahoma City," Scroggins said.
He said MetroTransit bus rides will be free from 5:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
Scroggins said during ozone alert season, city staffers closely monitor air quality, to make sure Oklahoma City is in compliance with the federal Clean Air Act.
