Between 400 and 500 concerned parents showed up to Northwest Classen High School Tuesday night for a public meeting with Oklahoma City Schools superintendent Karl Springer.

One parent says budget cuts have already been a problem...

"Last year, my son's school went without heat in the month of January and February for four and a half weeks!  And you're budgeting up here that you're going to try to budget regarding utilities.  And you say that it's not supposed to affect schools on site... it already has!"

Springer also took questions about teacher layoffs and classroom sizes.
