The Denver Federal appeals court has upheld Oklahoma's right to restrict the sale of water out of state.
The 10th circuit court has ruled in two challenges to Oklahoma's laws, one made by a water district in Fort Worth. Another was made by by the city of Hugo, which wanted to sell water to Irving, Texas.
Governor Mary Fallin called it another victory for Oklahoma.
The rulings came in legal challenges to a 2009 law that required legislative approval for any out of state water sales.
